We highly recommend
this establishment to anyone looking for an excellent place to eat
seafood, Po Boys, sandwiches, salads, and chicken.
We ate there for
the first time September 15, 2005. After that we were so impressed
with the quality of the food and service that we returned the next
day with guess-- still the same high quality food and service. We
have sent others with the same results.
The first time I
ate fried catfish. It was delicious....my wife ate a hamburger. The
second time I tried the hamburger and she got a shrimp-catfish
dinner....excellent. We got onion rings for an appetizer...excellent...best
I have ever eaten.
Carolyn makes her
onion rings from scratch, including her special home made batter.
She also makes her hamburger patties from fresh ground meat...with
her special seasoning. I dare say my hamburger patty was an inch
thick.
Bye the way...she
even sautés the onions and cuts the hamburger in two pieces for
easy eating.
Some would refer to
this establishment as a "hole in the wall." Call it what
you want, but this is absolutely the best place I have ever eaten.
This is one of those places everyone is looking for but never
finds............
She even has take
out orders. While we were there the drive in window bell continued
to ring.

Louisiana -- you ask?
It is located about
5 miles off I-10 near Breaux Bridge, LA. Take exit 109 off I-10. Go
northeast on La Hwy 328 1.6 miles. Turn left on Poche's Bridge Rd to
Hwy 31. Turn right on Hwy 31. Go 3.7 miles East to Hwy
355....keep right on 355 to Hwy 347. Turn right on Hwy 347 for approximately
1/8 Miles. Carolyn's Cafe is on your left at intersection of Hwy 347
and Judge Dupre Rd.
If you are ever
close to Lafayette or Breaux Bridge, Louisiana go fill yourself with
the best.

Sunday ..... 9 AM to 1 PM
Daily Lunches ... Tuesday thru Friday
